That's really cool that you found that old MBTA line in the town. I used to take the train every day into Boston and had no idea there were ever any stops in Rhode Island outside of Providence and the ones in Warwick. This makes me wonder why it shut down. Maybe there were just not enough people ever using it? I'm also curious how this affected people's ability to get around. It doesn't seem like many people use cars, so maybe in the 1970s this was the only way to get over to Providence. Maybe this is one of the only reasons why people living in Central Falls have cars today. Lots of things to think about that the students in Central Falls high school might not even know the answers to.
ReplyDeleteHey! I really like the pictures you took. I fount it funny that you and I chose most of the same questions to answer! I haven't posted mine yet, but it will be fully up tomorrow! I been having issues uploading my photos from my camera, but my friend is going to help me post them tomorrow! Regardless, I find it funny that we picked most of the same questions. I'm glad some of yours were different too, though, because it means that I now know more about Central Falls than I did from my own work. I didn't know about Caroline Cogswell or Elizabeth Chace! I also found it interesting that you found the old MPTA line in Central Falls.
