  1. Casandra, I think you did a great job. The way you presented the material made it easy for me to understand but it also had me very interested. I think the way you laid it out at first by breaking it up into past, present and future events made it quick for me to grasp and made it interesting. Never knew that I could write liek that. It really made something that I though was very hard, very doable.

To improve a bit I would have hand outs of the examples that you hard because, at least for me, they were difficult to see and second I would try to speak louder, project your voice for at some times I did miss some instructions as i couln't hear you. All in all though it was a great job!

  2. Casandra you did a really good job! You were nervous at first, but once you started talking about writing we could tell it was something you really loved. The activities you did were realistic and fun, especially when we got to make our own timeline. My suggestion would be to include an example maybe a picture of what you were looking for in terms of the writing pieces. The timeline you had an example which was very visual! But for the other writing pieces it would have been good to see how much you were looking for.

  3. So, I watched the video of your presentation because you were originally in my group, and I thought that you did a great job. I liked that there was there was very little instructional time and the lesson was focused around allowing the students to create the product. The having the students do that allows the students to really connect with the topic because they are able to relate to the people that originally wrote this way. The thing that I think could use improvement is to add a little bit more history of that form of writing so that the student can understand why they are learning about that form of writing.

    Awesome job :)

  4. Casandra, I think your lesson was a great idea in terms of the timeline because it is something the students create using their personal stories so they automatically would find it easy to relate to. The story you chose was an interesting piece. The only place I can think of for improvement would be in the degree of the objective because it wasn't clear exactly how much you would have liked us to write. Overall, you did a great job.

  5. Casandra, I loved your lesson. The timelines were so much fun to create because they allowed us to play around with what we hope our futures will hold for us. I also appreciated that you incorporated these events into short writing assignments. It was the perfect way to introduce fiction and non-fiction writing. The only thing I would suggest you do differently is to hand out the essay we read for everyone to have a copy of. (Even with my glasses I'm as blind as a bat.) You did a great job and seemed so comfortable in front of a classroom. Excellent work:)
